Was it an accident? Was there an accomplice? What could have been the motive? The Pope must be quite upset, to actually be prepared to throw Kim Davis under the pope-mobile jeep. This is what what the news organisations are reporting:
“Davis was one of “several dozen persons” who had been invited by the Vatican’s ambassador to the US in Washington. The only “real audience” the pope had granted during that period, the Vatican said, was to his former students and family. It was a stunning decision by the Vatican to break its silence on the meeting with Davis, days after it said it would not discuss the matter. It is likely to reflect a view that – for various reasons – Davis is not necessarily a model of the “conscientious objector” that Francis has generally endorsed and a concern on the part of the Vatican that the controversial meeting threatened to overshadow the pope’s otherwise hugely successful trip to the US.”
Not the model of a conscientious objector? Not a real audience? How can this clear Papal push back be explained. Evidently there was motive, a perfectly understandable motive. Can you blame the Pope for being furious? He was likely ambushed by the darker powers with in the Vatican old guard using the apostles of Stupidparty as their trap. The apostle bait being a pseudo Christian Kim Davis, her disingenuous lawyer, likely used by Stupidparty old white fart catholic priests in the Vatican and or here in the USA, trying to get back their overarching misogyny, dogmatic non-Christian views back into the papal narrative. But this Pope is evidently no pushover and does not appreciate being played.
But the Pope was not finished. He has made it plain that he had no role in inviting Ms Davis. The it was made plain that it was individuals at the Vatican’s embassy in Washington had made the arrangements. Finally and the real clincher, the Pope has made it plain that he only gave one “real audience”, to some one who was his former student, Yayo Grassi, who is not only a gay man, but a man who brought his partner of fourteen years to the Vatican’s embassy in Washington. You have to love it—game, set and match in the battle against the witless Stupidparty.
Four times married Kim Davis a liar? Her Lawyer a scumbag?
Earlier this week, Davis had framed the meeting as an endorsement of her cause, telling ABC News: “Just knowing the Pope is on track with what we’re doing, and agreeing, you know, kind of validates everything.”
In a statement, Davis added: “Pope Francis was kind, genuinely caring, and very personable. He even asked me to pray for him. Pope Francis thanked me for my courage and told me to ‘stay strong.’ “
Mat Staver, Davis’s attorney and the founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, told The Post that Davis and her husband, Joe, met privately with Francis at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington last Thursday afternoon. The meeting was brief, lasting less than 15 minutes, Staver said.
Kim Davis has repulsive lawyers backing her up:
First of all what type of Lawyer would encourage their client to break the law? A liberty Council lawyer, that is who, as these Liberty Council lawyers have a history of encouraging clients to defy the law and disobey a court’s orders. Yes the name “liberty” should be a red flag – and yes it all leads back to the king of hate, Jerry Falwell, and his joke of a College, Liberty College.
Who is this disingenuous lawyer Mat Staver? Who would come running to help Kim Davis – pro bono? Well she is being supported by a group of lawyers who have been classified by the Southern Poverty Center as a hate group. The group of Lawyers are known as the Liberty Council: here are some quotes from this hate group:
“Homosexual conduct can result in significant damage to those involved who engage in such conduct. There is no evidence that a person is born homosexual. And there is evidence that people can change. Our culture is being pressured with demands that our homes welcome, our daycares embrace, our schools indoctrinate, our businesses promote, and our laws reward this harmful sexual behavior.” – Liberty Counsel website
“Your lifestyle – homosexuality – is always and forever, objectively and demonstrably wrong. It is never good, natural, right or praiseworthy. … In almost every category – disease, depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and suicide – those who call themselves ‘gay’ live and die with consequences that have nothing gay, in the true sense of the word, about them. – Matt Barber, Liberty Counsel attorney.
The Pope is furious:
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has been blamed by the Vatican for inviting four-times married Kim Davis to meet the head of the Catholic church in Washington.
All the evidence indicates that the Pope was set up by the forces of hate.
The Pope was likely set up by the forces of Stupidparty. There are plenty of people in the Vatican who are very upset that this pope was elected, and are even more upset by the direction this pope is taking them. By way of example, Wisconsin-born Cardinal Raymond Burke, a rigid conservative and stodgy bureaucrat, recently demoted by Pope Francis, in order to let some fresh air into the place. But Burke apparently does not take kindly to some “uppity”, upstart, seventy eight year old spring chicken Pope opening any of his windows—no thank you, and as for the whole infallibility thing….
“One must be very attentive regarding the power of the pope,” Burke told the French news crew. Papal power, Burke warned, “is not absolute.” He added, “The pope does not have the power to change teaching [or] doctrine.” Actually Mr. Burke (I guess we should say Cardinal Burke), actually he does have such power, even if it is indirect -because any effort to drag the papacy back into the times of the Spanish inquisition, is likely to be devastating to the standing and long term financial stability of the Papacy.
What I do not understand Mr. Burke, is what gives you the right to prevent efforts to take you back to actually doing your job—trying to reach out to humanity in the way Jesus did – and try to solve problems rather that creating them.
The Washington Post reports:
Yet as he upends church convention, Francis also is grappling with a conservative backlash to the liberal momentum building inside the church. In more than a dozen interviews, including with seven senior church officials, insiders say the change has left the hierarchy more polarized over the direction of the church than at any point since the great papal reformers of the 1960s.
The conservative rebellion is taking on many guises — in public comments, yes, but also in the rising popularity of conservative Catholic Web sites promoting Francis dissenters; books and promotional materials backed by conservative clerics seeking to counter the liberal trend; and leaks to the news media, aimed at Vatican reformers.
Pope Francis’s response to conservative intransigence (yes that conservative brain again, the brain that fears change) is a simple one:
“Let no one say, ‘This you cannot say.’ ”
Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, R.I., yet another American pest; in an open letter to his diocese, wrote: “In trying to accommodate the needs of the age, as Pope Francis suggests, the Church risks the danger of losing its courageous, counter cultural, prophetic voice, one that the world needs to hear.” Yes lets keep ourselves strapped onto dogma that prevents sex education and contraception—thus creating more poverty, disease and death that your charitable efforts can never come come to offsetting. It also seems that we have a pattern -American Stupidparty religious hero’s combining to undermine a Pope that humanity has been screaming out for pretty much since the big bang. Why would this pattern emerge, because America is a land where stupidparty has grown to point where Myth can often beat Math.
Many are still very loyal the previous very much alive and kicking, rather monstrous Pope Benedict XVI- aka Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger, who was either forced or forced himself into retirement before he literally bankrupted Vatican Inc. But that difference, could actually be very important, because if he was forced out, that would invalidate the present Pope -because a Pope can only leave by his own free will. That is papal law.
The Washington Post put it like this:
“It showed how Benedict, a weak manager who may most be remembered for the way in which he left office, was no match for a culture that rejected even a modicum of transparency and preferred a damage-control campaign that diverted attention from the institution’s fundamental problems.”
Evidently his health is restored and many say he serves at the pleasure of Pope Francis. I do hope that this is correct as I would be glad to believe that he is leading a happier worthier life as an extremely rare individual -an Ex Pope. But there are others who are not so sure— I will let Esquire magazine provide more details:
Ratzinger’s fingerprints are all over this story[the Kim Davis meeting]. Vigano is a Benedict loyalist. Robert Moynihan, whose newsletter, Inside The Vatican, got the story first, is an actual lifelong Ratzinger protégé. And the Vatican press office acted just the way I’d want it to act, if I were the guy setting this up. First, it issues a silly non-denial denial, and then it merely confirms that the meeting occurred. At which point, the office clams up, leaving the story festering out there in the news cycle, and leaving the pope out there in the American culture war to twist in the wind. And, if this scenario is in any way accurate, it had its desired effect. The impact of what the pope actually said and did in America.
How ironic, a possible plan to damage a pope -throw a stupidparty apostle at him when he least’s expects it. But then a miracle happened—the bad guys just did not consider that Stupidparty people all have major character flaws, in this case one being a lying toad, the other an attention seeking lawyer. By making up so much nonsense Kim Davis, accidentally shot her papal 15th century, dark age supporters in the foot, allowing Pope Francis to issue a firm rebuke, and turn a plot into right wing farce.
Who knows what skulduggery is going on in the Vatican, if it is Ratzinger or others that have their “finger prints” all over it. But the Pope has been creating some very pissed off and powerful players in the Catholic hierarchy. I suspect it is only Pope Francis’s huge popularity that is keeping him a float, because he is carrying out a revolution, turning the Catholic Church into a Christian organisation. That is a very dangerous task, because the teaching of Jesus Christ do not allow the powerful to get their way, he teachings are not the tools of repression -and it is tough to run a business with out power. Pope Francis had better maintain his momentum in order that he does not have to constantly watch his back. His pushing back regarding the Kim Davis trap, will help keep him moving forward – in lively manner. However once the his bicycle stops moving, he will surely fall off.

Since this wonderful pope is all about forgiveness, the least we can do is extend some to him for being taken in by this very poor excuse for a Christian.
Patrick Andendall says
I do not blame the pope in the least on this issue.

Really glad this came out, it makes perfect sense and so out of character with the rest of his trip. Originally, when news of his visit to that unchristian fraud was announced, I was really mad at the pope for duping the public. I liked this guy and I’m not even Catholic.
