Excerpts, Reviews and Where to Buy

Stupidparty Math v Myth by Patrick AndendallStupidparty Math v. Myth is a fact driven, ocean of facts driving Myth relentlessly into depths of oblivion. Click here to read the reviews, or here to purchase (available in paperback and eBook). Explore below a summary including an in-depth table of contents.

Introduction

The Facts are Coming! The title of the book might appear contentious, but it really should not surprise anyone. This terminology is not my idea. I am fully aware that people who vote for the Republican Party are not by definition stupid. The term “Stupidparty” was catapulted into the public domain by Bobby Jindal, the Republican governor of Louisiana, who not too long ago was being groomed as the modern face of the conservative movement. Jindal was giving the keynote address at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting in Charlotte Jan 24, 2013, where he said:

“We’ve got to stop being the stupid party. It’s time for a new Republican Party that talks like adults.”

I bet he wishes he could take those words back. The audience must have winced. They all knew that the intellectual integrity of the Republican Party was under attack—and here was this one-time rising star of the party crystalizing what was already on many people’s minds. As I illustrate in Chapter 1, many well-known prognosticators from across the political spectrum had long ago arrived at a similar conclusion.

Four Horseman of the Apocalypse Apocalypse

And I saw, and behold a white horse. And he that sat on him had calculated that he would forever be a ruler and would set forth and conquer Myth with the use of Math.

And there went out another horse, that was red. And power was given to him that sat thereon to take Science to mankind, and that he must prevent raging winds, hell’s furnace, and plagues by allowing research to inoculate against witchcraft.

And I beheld, and lo a black horse. And he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. On one side sat facts and on the other untruths, and never again would the two be held equivalent.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse. And his name that sat on him was Knowledge, and Ignorance followed behind. And as the power of Math, Science, and Facts was given to Knowledge, so he trampled over Ignorance, and deep into the earth this conquered beast did disperse.

Economic Plan

The following is an exact transcript of the part of his speech that deals with his actual economic plan:

Mitty Romney on Horseback First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America’s engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Today, women are more likely than men to start a business. They need a president who respects and understands what they do.

And let me make this very clear, unlike President Obama, I will not raise taxes on the middle class.

Sounds all good? Now hold on to your horses Mr. Romney……

The Government
So next time Stupidparty moans about non scandals such as Solyndra (a government investment that did not lead to profit), you might just want to ask why they do not appreciate the many ways they have profited from government investments or actions

Gallup Deficit Spending Chart

·  Personal disposable income has grown nearly 6 times more under Democratic presidents.
·  Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown 7 times more under Democratic presidents
·  Corporate profits have grown over 16% more per year under Democratic presidents (they actually declined under Republicans by an average of 4.53%/year)
·  Average annual compound return on the stock market has been 18 times greater under Democratic presidents (If you invested $100k for 40 years of Republican administrations you had $126k at the end, if you invested $100k for 40 years of Democrat administrations you had $3.9M at the end)
·  Republican presidents added 2.5 times more to the national debt than Democratic presidents
·  The two times the economy steered into the ditch (Great Depression and Great Recession) were during Republican, laissez faire administrations
Racism
Stupidparty people keep referring to reverse racism. By so raising this issue, they are rationalizing their racist feelings. This (dishonest) concern about reverse racism might be warranted in a balanced scenario where the Black population is as empowered as the White population and there had been no history of slavery, disenfranchisement, the KKK, voter suppression, profiling, and continued significant racism.
Allen West Tanning Comment

“You want to talk about something that’s really racist? They have a tanning tax. I’m not tanning.” Allen West, former SP Rep Florida 22nd:

Racism 101 (first Link below for a little tip for SP’s)
Obama had only introduced two new taxes, one for smokers and this Sun Tanning tax. The tax in question was initially proposed to deter Americans from frequenting tanning beds, which one study found causes roughly 170,000 cases of skin cancer each year.
Earlier this year, the FDA proposed a warning label requirement for all materials promoting tanning beds, and completely barring bed use by customers under 18. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S.

Women
Binders Full of Women“I went to a number of women’s groups and said: ‘Can you help us find folks,’ and they brought us whole binders full of women.”
Sexy Myth logic
“Many of those people involved in Adolf Hitler were Satanists. Many were homosexuals. The two things seem to go together.”
SP Presidential contender
Epic quest for SP Humor
On the other hand, when you grow up, you will discover that some of the people in this world never passed beyond the stage of the cave-man.
—Hendrik Willem van Loon, The Story of Mankind

Lord of the Rings

SP Freedoms and SP Economics.
A worker is at least 12 times less likely to be killed on the Job in Massachusetts compared to North Dakota. The book goes into a detailed analysis of the impact of SP Economic policies and the confusion and damage caused by an unnuanced interpretation of the concept of freedoms. The following two charts did not make the cut (i.e. make it into the book) as the Mathematical case had already been proven and I did not want to”belabor” the point. The chance of a workplace fatality in Massachusetts is 1.4 per 100,000 comparing to 17.7
in North Dakota or 4.8 in Texas.

2012 Worker Safety and Health Fatality Rates

I normally like to start with some type of International Benchmark in order to evaluate the true impact of SP policies both internationally and then with in the USA. Below are the UK and EU
death rates.

Australia was 1.93. The average USA was 3.4 – obviously dragged down by the SP states. The UK number is about 0.5 per 100,000. So that North Dakota worker has an approximate x 35 greater chance of dying. (Bear in mind that if most people work for say 40 years, the chances of you dying as a result of your work are the above numbers x 40.)

Job Fatalities Chart

Poverty

Comparing poverty among different nations is quite complex, but however you slice the numbers (the World Bank, the CIA –take your pick), the USA ranking is quite pitiful, at around 39th (according the the CIA) but the ranking would be far worse if you only included the Red States. Stupidparty thinking simply stops at the closest boundary and if you mention a country like Norway then they reflexively yell “socialist.” What is wrong with poverty anyway? – moochers deserve poverty.

I guess Children deserve the same level of empathy, the same lack of introspection.

Child Poverty Rank

Here is the SP State/non SP State breakdown of poverty by household.

SP Poverty Rates

Rusty Red Links – often add humor to prove a point or on in this case use humor to easily explain a subject that many believe they could never understand. The  ‘Mortgaged Backed Securities’ meltdown that helped trigger the 2008 financial crisis – it turns out that anybody can understand this seemingly obscure subject. In just eight minutes you can know as much an any “expert”, it seems.
